Thanks to everyone who made the “Raising the Roof in Song” event possible. Over 100 people attended this hymn sing to help raise money for Mennonite Disaster Service. We enjoyed great singing accompanied by wonderful musicians, led by musical director Andrew Voth. Wayne Stucky shared touching stories and video clips of the many lives that have been touched thought Mennonite Disaster Service projects in the mid-west. The blue grass group “The Flannelbacks” entertained us during the fellowship time after the hymn sing, while bids continued to come in on 10 delicious desserts. A local Girl Scout troop helped serve refreshments and clean up.

The amount of money raised far exceeded our expectations. The committee counted contributions totaling $5,136.

You can still contribute to our “Raising the Roof in Song” by sending a check payable to “Mennonite Disaster Service – Region III” and sending it to our church
