Gabriel Pennington originally hails from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He has a degree in English Education from Oklahoma State University and a Masters of Divinity from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana. He and Christa have been married since 2011. They are raising two boys, Kaiden and Sylace. Gabe has been at Southern Hills since 2020, but pastored before in Oklahoma. Gabe has also taught high school and middle school English a combined 6 years. Gabe has coached wrestling, tennis, and junior high football. Gabe has also been a chaplain in two different county jails. Previously, Gabe and Christa have lived in Weatherford, OK; Elkhart, IN; and Luther, OK. His hobbies include fishing, hiking, camping, reading, and cheering for the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
